About Melissa
I was born in Colorado, but residing most of my life between
Arizona and New Mexico I am truly from the Southwest.
My love for the Southwest and design have intertwined, and I have found myself in the beautiful city of Las Cruces, NM. Working full time in the furniture and design industry for more than 13 years has made a huge contribution to my passion for Art and Design. I graduated from New Mexico State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences; majoring in Clothing, Textiles and Fashion Merchandising with minors in Marketing and Management.
Determined and eager to start life in the Interior Design industry, I worked in
Scottsdale, AZ for five years specializing in Residential and Commercial Design. Ready for a fresh city, I relocated to Los Angeles, CA for a new twist in the Interior Design world. Specializing in custom window treatments and fabric design I was emerged into textile heaven. Designing nurseries in Beverly Hills was truly an amazing niche of design that I loved.
I relocated to Las Cruces, NM 8 years ago, with a background and extensive knowledge in a wide variety of design elements. Creating a fabulous space with the lifestyle that fits "you" is my focus. From contemporary, western, cabin style, traditional, transitional to southwest, you name it.... I enjoy all aspects of design.
I have experience in set design, working with Hollywood Producers since 2009. Now serving set
design needs in the State of New Mexico.
